Ryan Rivera is an internationally acclaimed, award-winning filmmaker from Brooklyn, NY, specializing in both narrative and documentary films. Throughout the years, he has had the privilege of creating a variety of celebrated projects that he is incredibly proud of. He is passionate about creating projects that leave a lasting impact on viewers and sparks conversations.

In May, Ryan graduated with a degree in Film Studies and Music, Sound, and Technology. He recently created Capturada, the story of Alma, a 71-year-old woman who rediscovers her identity through a secret online relationship—capturing both the isolation of aging and the liberation that comes with rekindled passion. It recently won three awards at Golden Lion International Film Festival (GLIFF) in India. The film won Best International Film, Best Director, and Best Comedy.
